General Info

Tucked along Chapel St in Rugby, Don’t Tell Mum at CV21 3EB brings a relaxed and welcoming vibe to the local food scene. Although it’s known as a bubble tea store, the place feels more like a friendly neighborhood restaurant where people stop by to enjoy drinks, chat with friends, and explore a menu that focuses on refreshing, customizable bubble tea options.

Walking in, the atmosphere feels casual and easygoing. The space isn’t overly complicated-just comfortable enough for people who want to sit down and enjoy a drink without rushing. Many visitors choose the dine-in option because it gives them time to browse the menu and watch drinks being prepared. It’s the kind of place where the experience is part of the fun, especially when you see the layers of tea, milk, and toppings come together behind the counter.

The menu at Don’t Tell Mum keeps things simple yet satisfying. As a bubble tea store, the focus is clearly on drinks, but the variety makes it feel like a full beverage destination rather than a single-choice stop. Customers often spend a few minutes deciding between different combinations, which adds to the overall experience. From my visit, it felt like the staff encouraged guests to take their time and enjoy the process of choosing.

Convenience is another reason this location stands out among local dining spots in Rugby. The restaurant offers delivery, which is perfect for anyone craving a sweet, chilled drink without leaving home. For those already in the area, onsite services make ordering smooth and straightforward. Payments are quick as well, with NFC mobile payments and credit cards accepted, making it easy to grab a drink whether you’re stopping by on a quick break or settling in for a longer visit.

The location on Chapel St also makes it accessible for people exploring the town centre. It’s common to see groups of friends stopping in after shopping or students dropping by for a quick treat. Because of this, the place has built a reputation among locals as a reliable stop when you want something refreshing.

Reviews from visitors often mention the relaxed environment and the convenience of the services offered. Whether you’re ordering for delivery or choosing to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere, Don’t Tell Mum feels like a comfortable addition to the list of casual dining spots in Rugby. The combination of a focused bubble tea menu, friendly service style, and easy payment options makes it a place people tend to return to when they’re in the area.

“ Very delicious bubble tea. So happy there is a bubble tea place near me now!! I had a strawberry tea with mango bubbles, and my brother had mango tea with strawberry bubbles. Both very nice! I am definitely trying a new flavour next time!! I am sure everything else they have is as good as the bubble tea!! ”

“ I've always seen bubble tea on social media, but having never tried one I was excited to find a place in Rugby that sold them. They are delicious! The brown sugar bubble tea was great, but the coffee bubble tea was my favourite. And the cinnamon roll was fresh and very tasty. Lovely place, neatly decorated, friendly and helpful guy serving. I will definitely be back! ”

“ Absolutely love this place! The bubble tea is amazing (best I’ve had in ages), the coffee is spot-on, and the cakes are delicious. The staff are super friendly and always go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. You can really tell they care about quality and making sure every customer leaves happy. A proper hidden gem in Rugby – once you’ve been, you’ll keep coming back! ”

“ Visited Rugby for first time today and first stop was here, first impressions mean a lot. Great customer service from female (maybe owner) I had a coffee and cheese toasties which were excellent. I took a call from abroad and the lady asked me did music need turning down, this was not required but the thought means a lot. Enjoyed my day in Rugby and will visit this eaterie again. Brilliant. ”

- R E -

“ Beautiful place with bright but minimalistic decor. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming to customers and were also very patient with explaining the different drinks available. Bamboo straws for the win also! No more disintegrating straws compared to other places. Drinks start as low as £4.20 and up to £5.50 (excluding add ons like condensed milk, whipped cream and coco jelly for individual additional costs). Overall, I’m a very happy customer for my first experience at Don’t Tell Mum! Highly recommend for other people wanting to experience and enjoy tea places ”
